The soft starter is a device that limits the starting current to the compressor's rated current. For example, a 25A compressor can draw a much higher current at startup. With the soft starter, the starting current is limited. Furthermore, the soft starter prevents and detects motor malfunctions such as overload or voltage drop. Diagnostic LEDs quickly indicate the compressor's status. Compressor restart time after shutdown: 3 minutes. A 240µF starting capacitor is integrated into the housing.
